Welcome to Intro to Digital MediaEdit

UCSC FDM20C SPRING 2010 is a collaborative website focusing on the student experience of the Film and Digital Media 20C: Introduction to Digital Media class that any class member can edit! The Wiki format allows anyone to create or edit any article, so we can all work together to create a resource for students in this class.

About This ProjectEdit

Film and Digital Media 20C from the UCSC General Course Catalog '08-'10: "Introduces fundamental features of digital media and examines the immense visual, social, and psychological impact of the "digital revolution" on our culture. Topics include the concepts and forms of the digital hypertext interface, Internet, and web, and the impact of digital media on conceptions of the self, body, identity, and community."

The Film and Digital Media Spring 2010 Wiki was created for two reasons:

• To experience discussion and participation in a wiki setting that allows any and all users to edit and create pages, and
• To provide a resource for fellow students where we can share ideas, conversations, notes, and suggestions.

This project was created on April 30th, 2010 (6 days before the Wiki assignment was due).

Professor Lindsay Kelley's class website has copies of the syllabus and projects handout, along with class updates.
